Chastidy Dillon-Amelung was appointed Traffic Commissioner in 2019. She has been practicing law since 2012 and is licensed to practice in Missouri, Connecticut, and the Eastern District of Missouri. She has handled cases in more than 22 Missouri counties as well as the Eastern, Western, and Southern District of Missouri Courts of Appeals, the Missouri Supreme Court and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
She received her J.D. degree in 2002 from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, and her LL.M. in taxation in 2010 from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. Prior to her appointment she was in private practice, serving clients in the areas of criminal defense, administrative licensing actions and estate and tax planning.
Commissioner Dillon-Amelung previously served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, a Special Assistant Attorney General and Senior Counsel for the Missouri Director of Revenue. She has taught legal seminars since 2003 serving as a trainer for the Missouri Office of Prosecution Services, Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Missouri Bar.
She lives in St. Louis County with her family.
